Why I chose to become a Freelancer?

I have been working since I was 14 years old. It was a part-time job, but it was helping me to understand the value of money. After that, I moved from job to job, working my way up through different companies. I went from being an Assistant to a Manager, to changing careers completely. Studying hard to break through an industry that is currently high in demand.
Last year I had a really bad experience at a company and I told myself if this continues for the next 6 months; I will quit. You guessed right, it just kept getting worst. This was my first office-based job and I hated it. I hated the whole aspect of it. I don’t know if it was because it was my first corporate job or that it was happening during a pandemic.
Either way, I left and it was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I was lucky enough to be prepared for the transition. I had been Content writing for a few clients as a side hustle during 2021, so when it came to me leaving; I knew what I wanted to do.
I wanted to write, but I wanted to write on my terms. My schedule. I wanted to be able to take my lunch whenever. I wanted to be able to go to the gym in the afternoon if I couldn’t make it in the morning because my body needed a rest. I wanted freedom.
I grew up in London and I always tell people that London work life is like a rat…
